By submitting comments, images, videos, or any other materials to Plate Review, users grant us full rights to use, reproduce, and distribute this content in connection with the platform. If you wish to reproduce any material available on Plate Review, you must contact us to request prior permission.

Information Removal

Individuals or businesses may request the removal of certain personal information from Plate Review, subject to legal requirements and Plate Review’s policies. Plate Review may allow the suppression of personal information from public records accessible on the platform. This includes:

  • Name, phone number, email address, and physical address if submitted by a user.
  • Videos or photos where the individual’s face is clearly identifiable and is included in the removal request.

Documentation Required for Removal Requests

To process removal or suppression requests, Plate Review requires supporting documentation that substantiates the request, particularly if it involves risks of harm or identity theft. Plate Review retains the sole discretion to determine whether the provided documentation meets our criteria. Approved requests will result in the removal of the specified content within 30 business days.

Examples of required documentation include:

  • Victims of Identity Theft:
    • A police report documenting the identity theft.
    • Additional verification, such as a letter from your credit card company or an Identity Theft Affidavit.
  • Law Enforcement Officers or Public Officials:
    • A letter from your supervisor confirming that your position poses a risk of death or serious bodily harm.
  • Individuals at Risk of Physical Harm:
    • A court-issued protective order.
    • A police report or similar documentation, such as a letter from a shelter administrator or healthcare professional.

Situations Where Removal Is NOT Allowed

Plate Review does not honor requests to remove the following types of information:

  • A comment about your behavior, even if it reports unlawful actions you have committed.
  • Information regarding a license plate simply because you own the vehicle.
  • Photos in which your face is not visible.
  • Information about another person based solely on their relationship to you (e.g., spouse, child, parent, or relative).
  • Information related to registered sex offenders or amber alerts.

Temporary Blocking Option
